Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. seeks a Geotechnical Engineer II to join our Atlanta team. You will assist in preparing engineering plans, conduct site visits, perform basic analyses, and support project delivery alongside senior engineers.

The role requires a B.S. in Civil Engineering, GA PE license, 3–5 years of GDOT-related geotechnical experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience; GDOT project experience preferred.
• GA PE license is required; familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation and HEC-RAS is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; team environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.
