Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer II in Atlanta, GA. You will assist in preparing plans, specifications, and reports, perform basic calculations, and support design using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, 3–5 years geotechnical experience, and a Georgia PE license. GDOT project experience, MicroStation/HEC-RAS familiarity, and strong communication are preferred. Competitive salary and growth opportunities.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.


• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.


• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.


• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.


• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.


• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.


• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.


• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field


• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required


• Minimum 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects


• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.


• Strong written and verbal communication skills.


• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.


• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
