Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer II in the Atlanta, GA area. The role focuses on assisting with plans, reports, and analyses under senior supervision while engaging in field visits, regulatory tasks, and coordination with clients.

The candidate should hold a Civil Engineering degree, GA PE license, and 3–5 years of geotechnical GDOT experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced setting.

• PE license (GA) required.
• 3–5 years of geotechnical engineering experience; GDOT project experience preferred.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office.

Job Title: Geotechnical Engineer II

• Work Location: Atlanta, GA ***

Salary: Based on experience and will be discussed with manager in interview

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and reports.
• Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Support design and drafting efforts using AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D.
• Conduct site visits, field inspections, and data collection as needed.
• Assist with permitting, regulatory compliance, and coordination with clients and agencies.
• Participate in internal project meetings and collaborate with other disciplines.
• Support project managers in project delivery, including budgeting and scheduling tasks.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field
• Georgia Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working on Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) projects
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Internship or co-op experience in civil engineering preferred.
• Exposure to relevant software such as MicroStation, HEC-RAS, or stormwater modeling tools preferred
