Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer 1 to work in the Power Generation Business Sector on Power Generation and Infrastructure projects and when needed other regional client projects. GAI Consultants, Inc.

Qualifications

Geotechnical engineering concepts and field/office tasks.
Ability to interpret plans and assemble design calculations.
Strong collaboration and communication within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Perform geotechnical design tasks for foundations, slopes, walls and containment structures.
Develop subsurface investigations, monitoring programs, and site characterizations.
Install geotechnical field instrumentation and select samples for lab testing.
Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specs and reports.
Travel for fieldwork across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
Assist with site visits, inspections, and coordination with project team.
