Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer 3 to join the Power Generation Business Sector on Power Generation and Infrastructure projects, with opportunities for remote or hybrid work.

The candidate will be based in one of GAI's offices in the Pittsburgh area or nearby states. The role involves performing geotechnical design tasks and field work under supervision, developing subsurface investigations, preparing proposals, and coordinating field instrumentation and site

Qualifications

• 8+ years of geotechnical engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering assignments for foundations, pipelines, and landfills.
• Develop subsurface investigations, monitoring programs, and site characterizations.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, schedules, calculations, specifications and reports.
• Install geotechnical field instrumentation and perform site inspections.
• Travel for fieldwork across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.
