Shannon & Wilson Inc, an employee-owned geotechnical engineering firm based in Seattle, WA, seeks a Geotechnical Engineer with strong analytical and reporting skills. You will perform analyses, field explorations, and geology mapping while supporting client interactions and project proposals.

Qualified candidates have a BS in Civil Engineering, an MS/PhD in Geotechnical Engineering, and up to 6 years of relevant experience; EIT and PE trajectory encouraged.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering and MS or PhD in Geotechnical Engineering.
• 0-6 years of Geotechnical engineering experience.
• Engineer-in-Training Certificate obtained or in process.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering and geological analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and write engineering and other reports.
• Perform field explorations, collect samples, map geology.
• Conduct construction observation and document logs.
• Perform geotechnical lab testing and communicate results.
