Job summary

ENGEO seeks a Staff Engineer to drive geotechnical design and analysis across diverse projects. You will be mentored to build technical expertise, project management, and client-facing skills while contributing to field investigations and laboratory work.

You will develop soil properties, analyze stability and ground behavior using advanced software, and prepare detailed reports. Travel to domestic and international sites may be required, supporting ENGEO’s global projects.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Required (M.S./Ph.D. preferred).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; numerical modeling, seismic hazard analysis, and GIS experience are a plus.
• Must be comfortable in fast-paced, dynamic, diverse environment; ability to work in teams and independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Develop geotechnical recommendations, plans and specifications for design and construction.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and design of foundations, slopes, earth-retaining structures.
• Assess slope stability, ground settlement and soil liquefaction using geotechnical software.
• Perform static/dynamic numerical modeling with PLAXIS, FLAC, and other tools.
• Conduct site investigations, logging borings, sampling, and field tests.
• Develop laboratory testing plans and soil properties for analyses.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, letters, and plans.
• Observe construction activities including foundations and ground improvement.
• Travel to project sites to provide on-site engineering support.
