Jobot is seeking a geotechnical engineer in the Kirkland, WA area to perform field investigations, draft reports, and support laboratory testing for large residential and commercial developments.

• Prepare cost estimates and proposals (after skill confirmation).
• Perform routine tests and computations for geotechnical engineering and field observations.
• Perform laboratory testing and analyses in support of projects.
• Attend project meetings, in-house and with clients.
• Occasional travel to remote sites and lifting up to ~75 pounds.

Job Details

• Performing geotechnical field investigations including Test Pits, Test Borings, Slope Reconnaissance, and hand augers.
• Drafting geotechnical engineering reports
• Preparing cost estimates and proposals (this can be left on with the understanding that this comes after we confirm the skill set)
• Performing routine tests and computations associated with geotechnical engineering, and field observations
• Performing laboratory testing and analyses in support of construction and geotechnical engineering projects
• Attending project meetings, both in-house and with clients
• Occasional travel and work in remote areas under adverse conditions
• Occasional lifting of approximately 75 pounds

Qualifications

• 1-8 years of experience for
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related engineering field; Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related is preferred
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering/Engineer-In-Training (EIT) exam or scheduled
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
