Job summary

Jobot seeks a senior geotechnical engineering leader to drive complex projects in the Mid-Atlantic region from investigation through design and construction support.

You will mentor junior engineers, build client relationships, and help grow the geotechnical practice within an established firm known for solving challenging infrastructure and site development projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience managing geotechnical projects from investigation through design and construction support.
• Background performing subsurface investigations, borings, laboratory testing, and geotechnical analyses.
• Experience preparing geotechnical reports and recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, earthwork, and site development.

This a seller - doer role. You will have a large impact in growing the existing office footprint with various projects and clientele. They already have an established presence with other engineers locally to collaborate with. This is not a from scratch build.

Job Details

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure in the immediate future
• Experience managing geotechnical engineering projects from investigation through design and construction support
• Background performing and interpreting subsurface investigations, borings, laboratory testing, and geotechnical analyses
• Experience preparing geotechnical reports and recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, earthwork, and site development
• Experience supporting transportation, marine, federal, commercial, or public infrastructure projects
• Ability to mentor junior engineers while developing strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities
• Strong communication, technical leadership, and project management skills
