Job Details

Currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience to add to our dynamic team in Fayetteville, AR. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, analysis, and implementation of geotechnical projects. This position involves working closely with other engineering disciplines to ensure the stability and safety of various construction projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a solid understanding of geotechnical principles.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage drilling projects and oversee technicians with management of these projects, as well as visual classification and log preparation
• Coordinate and review laboratory testing
• Complete accurate geotechnical exploration reports
• Perform engineering calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, pavement section designs, slope stability, etc.
• Generate scopes and fees for new projects and prepare complete proposals and budgets
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study from an ABET accredited university
• P.E. or other professional licensure is preferred
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Enjoy working outdoors
• NICET, ACI and/or other certifications desired
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving in complex engineering scenarios
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously
