Job summary

S&ME is seeking a full-time Driller with a CDL to join our Field Exploration team in the Knoxville area. You will supervise driller assistants and coordinate operations with minimal supervision, ensuring the best drilling methods for each project.

You must have a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years in geotechnical or environmental drilling, with a CDL and valid driller license. Expect travel with paid hotels and per diem as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of geotechnical and/or environmental drilling experience.
• CDL and valid driller license are required.
• Ability to operate and maintain drilling equipment and perform routine maintenance.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drilling operations for assigned projects and mentor drillers.
• Mobilize equipment, order project materials with management approval, and maintain equipment.
• Ensure drilling methods meet project specs and quality standards.
• Coordinate daily field activities and communicate progress to management.
