Job summary

S&ME Inc. in Knoxville, TN seeks a full-time Driller to support and coordinate drilling operations, oversee a team of drillers, and ensure proper use of equipment for projects in diverse environments. Travel with paid hotels and per diem is provided where required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years geotechnical/environmental drilling experience.
• CDL and valid driller license required.
• Knowledge of hollow stem auger, mud rotary and rock coring.

Responsibilities

• Oversee drilling operations on assigned projects and mentor junior drillers.
• Review field logs, samples, and data; liaise with management.
• Maintain and calibrate drilling equipment; ensure safe operations.
• Ensure quality control and adherence to contract specifications.
• Coordinate daily activities of driller assistants on medium-to-large projects.
