Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. seeks a Director, Geotechnical to lead geotechnical strategies across open pit, underground and heap leach operations in North America. The role reports to the Mining and Rock Mechanics team and shapes governance, risk and performance standards.

You will mentor site geotechnical teams, influence executive decisions, and partner with regulators, consultants and academic researchers to advance innovation. Travel about 25% to domestic and international sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or Geological Engineering.
• 15+ years of progressive geotechnical experience in mining operations or consulting.
• Willingness to travel ~25% to domestic and international sites.

Responsibilities

• Shape and lead geotechnical strategies and designs across the open pit, underground and leach pads.
• Mentor geotechnical teams at the operating sites.
• Drive governance, assurance, and innovation in ground control and stability.
• Contribute to long-term asset value, risk management, and sustainability.
