Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mine Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering within the mining industry (Open Pit and/ or Underground).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or P.Eng would be considered an asset.
• Proficient in geotechnical analysis software and mine engineering tools (RocScience Suite, Geoslope, Itasca FLAC, Phase 2, Deswik, Vulcan).
• Experience with open-pit radar and underground monitoring systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical assessments and site characterizations to identify potential risks.
• Design and implement ground support systems to ensure the stability of mining structures.
• Perform slope stability analyses, modelling, and recommend designs for both open pit and underground mining.
• Collaborate with planning, operations, and other stakeholders to optimize mining methods.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, analyses, and documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain site Geotech block model and numerical stress models.
