Job summary

Coeur Mining, Inc. is seeking a Director of Exploration to lead greenfields and brownfields programs across the US and Canada.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Exploration and supports remote work with regular travel to sites and the head office in Chicago. The successful candidate will mentor teams, design robust targeting strategies, and ensure program delivery within budget and timelines to drive resource growth and shareholder value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology is required
• Advanced degree in mineral economics or geology is beneficial
• Extensive field experience and hands-on leadership skills are essential
• Demonstrated cost-effective exploration with a track record of success
• Strong ability to integrate diverse geological datasets and models

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop exploration teams with inclusive leadership and high performance standards
• Oversee greenfields and brownfields exploration programs across US & Canada
• Drive exploration strategies using advanced modeling and targeting methods
• Ensure programs align with company objectives, budgets, and timelines
• Develop high-quality geological models from drilling, geotechnical, and geological data
• Identify gaps and drive timely corrective actions to improve targeting and execution
• Apply industry best practices in QA/QC, drilling, sampling, and data handling
• Communicate program context, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders for alignment
• Coordinate with permitting, environmental, and technical partners to support operations
