Job summary

Tesla Laboratories seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to support NAVFAC Northwest Design Technical Support for waterfront, piers, and civil structures. You will perform design tasks, coordinate with the NAVFAC team, track budgets, and produce technical dashboards using Power BI, Project, and Excel. Requires a 4-year engineering degree and a minimum of 6 years in design management.

A U.S. PE license in geotechnical/civil is highly desirable; knowledge of UFC/IBC/ASCE 7 is important.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing the tasks described above.
• Bachelor’s or higher degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited program (4-year minimum).
• Knowledge of DoD UFC, IBC, and ASCE 7 standards is desirable.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in geotechnical/civil discipline is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, create/manage schedules, and track/brief budget execution.
• Review technical reports, RFIs, designs, design changes, project deliverables, submittals, and cost proposals to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Provide technical support for review of commissioning plan, submittals, and field inspections.
• Provide weekly reports documenting engineering support and quality assurance on each project, including status, issues, costs, schedule, and findings.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and communicate findings to stakeholders and Government client.
