Job summary

Tesla Laboratories, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, seeks a Geotechnical Engineer to support NAVFAC Northwest Design DTS projects in the Puget Sound area. You will perform geotechnical tasks, coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, and create technical dashboards using Power BI, Project, and Excel.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of design management experience, a 4-year engineering degree, and a PE license is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Engineering college curriculum (4-year degree minimum).
• Minimum of 6 years of Design Management and/or Design experience performing the tasks described above.
• It is highly desirable, but not required, to hold a U.S. Professional Engineering (P.E.) license in geotechnical/civil discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical engineering tasks for NAVFAC NW projects involving building foundations and structures.
• Coordinate with team members to execute project scope, schedules, and budgets.
• Create project technical dashboard reports via Power BI, Project, and Excel.
• Provide technical reviews and recommendations to minimize delays within timeframes.
• Review reports, designs, submittals, and cost proposals for compliance with requirements.
• Support commissioning plans, field inspections, and construction activities.
• Prepare weekly and monthly status reports with findings and recommendations.
