Job summary

Stantec in Lexington, KY, invites passionate civil engineering students for an Intern/Co-op role focused on geotechnical and water infrastructure projects. You will contribute to planning explorations, assist in reports and cost tracking, and support design calculations in a collaborative team.

You will gain hands-on experience with CAD, field observations, and basic design tasks while learning from engineers on local and national projects for municipalities and utilities.

Qualifications

• In progress toward earning a bachelor's degree (minimum) in civil engineering or related field.
• Interest in geotechnical engineering and water infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical explorations.
• Assist in project administration, including reports, proposals, costs, and progress tracking.
• Support technical staff with data gathering, reports, and design calculations.
• Perform modeling and design activities on water infrastructure projects.
• Review boring logs and laboratory data with engineers.
• Assist with geotechnical analysis for design and construction phases.
• Gain exposure to CAD and other design programs.
• Assist with field work and construction observations.
• Complete other engineering/administrative duties as required.
