Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Intern/Co-op to support geotechnical explorations and water infrastructure projects in a team environment. You will assist with data gathering, reporting, and design tasks while gaining exposure to CAD and field work opportunities.

The role emphasizes learning, reliability, and collaborative work with engineers on local and national projects, including municipal and federal clients. Office-based with field learning opportunities is typical.

Qualifications

• In progress toward earning a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Interest in geotechnical topics and water infrastructure projects.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and coordinating geotechnical explorations.
• Assist in project administration including writing reports and drafting proposals.
• Help gather information, track project costs, and complete progress reports.
• Assist engineers with reviewing boring logs and laboratory data.
• Perform modeling and design activities on water infrastructure projects.
• Gain exposure to CAD and other design programs.
