Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. in Knoxville, TN, is seeking an Intern/Co-op to support our water infrastructure projects and learn across multiple disciplines including water resources, site civil, hydrology, hydraulics, and construction.

You will assist in project administration, data analysis, and design tasks, gaining experience with CAD and GIS while contributing to important local and national projects for municipalities, utilities, and federal clients.

Qualifications

• In progress toward earning a Bachelor's degree (minimum) in civil engineering or related field
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and take direction
• Willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports
• Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, and performing calculations for design projects
• Perform modeling and design activities on a variety of water infrastructure projects
• Gaining exposure and performing basic tasks in CAD, GIS, and other design programs
• Performing construction observations and assisting with field work, as needed
• Completing other engineering/administrative duties as required
