Job summary

Stantec in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Intern/Co-op to support water infrastructure projects and learn from professional staff. You will assist with design tasks, CAD/GIS exposure, and field observations while applying civil engineering coursework.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field and demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in project administration including writing reports, gathering information, drafting proposals, drafting correspondence, tracking project costs, and completing progress reports.
• Assisting technical staff with various project tasks, including researching, compiling, and evaluating project data, preparing reports, and performing calculations for design projects.
• Perform modeling and design activities on a variety of water infrastructure projects.
• Gaining exposure and performing basic tasks in CAD, GIS, and other design programs.
• Performing construction observations and assisting with field work, as needed.
• Completing other engineering/administrative duties as required.
