Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, geology, natural sciences, construction-related field, or other appropriate technical fields; certifications from NICET, ACI, ICC, etc. will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 5 years combined experience in laboratory geotechnical and construction materials testing; at least 2 years in a supervisory, management, or leadership role.
• Familiarity with ASTM and AASHTO test methods for geotechnical and construction materials; knowledge of AASHTO R18 Quality Management System (or similar); proficiency with Microsoft Office and lab equipment calibration.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of thermal resistivity testing services in a high-volume laboratory, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Oversee day-to-day laboratory and office operations, maintaining safety and high-quality service.
• Develop, coach, and mentor staff through training programs focused on technical proficiency and professional development.
• Serve as primary client contact, providing technical guidance and responsive communication throughout testing.
• Partner with leadership on operational improvements, workforce planning, scheduling, quoting, and growth initiatives.
