Job summary

SOCOTEC US in Orlando is seeking an experienced Lab Director to set up and oversee a new Geotechnical and Construction Material Laboratory. You will supervise staff, manage testing, ensure QA/QMS, and maintain equipment to deliver accurate results for public and private projects.

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise geotechnical lab staff and operations.
• Ensure QA/QMS compliance with AASHTO and FDOT accreditation.
• Maintain accurate records and testing reports for clients.
• Oversee equipment calibration, maintenance, and procurement.
• Enforce lab safety and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage, oversee, perform testing, and submit testing results for clients.
• Generate and compile lab testing reports and issue to clients; supervise others.
• Maintain workload and meet deadlines; optimize workflows.
• Oversee testing procedures, data acquisition, analyses and cleanup.
• Ensure timely entry of KPI and billing information weekly.
• Support development of new testing procedures and equipment.
