Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks a Team Leader to oversee and grow its Geospatial team in the Great Lakes region, serving the US and Canada. The leader will collaborate with BC leadership to manage workload, performance, and opportunities.

The role emphasizes staff mentorship, YEPR and compensation reviews, and active development of regional geospatial business, with a hybrid work model and strong emphasis on health and safety.

Qualifications

• Degree in Geospatial field or related discipline.
• Ten or more years of experience in geospatial leadership roles.
• Experience leading consulting geospatial teams is preferred.
• Experience writing proposals and reports is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geospatial and data services activities within the region for the Business Center (BC).
• Strategize, plan, and coordinate project assignments to ensure efficient execution.
• Actively manage geospatial projects, including budgets and timelines.
• Oversee staff utilization and resource allocation with BC leadership.
• Lead YEPR and compensation review processes per policy.
• Foster business development for geospatial services in the region.
• Ensure QA/QC adherence and timely delivery of project requirements.
• Mentor and develop team members; recruit and onboard new staff.
