Job summary

The Survey Project Manager will oversee multi-site land survey projects, manage budgets and resources, and drive business development while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.

The role emphasizes proposal development, staff development, and strong coordination with field and office teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry-related work experience in a professional or management capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large-scale projects.
• Strong proficiency with tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Geopack, MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members.
• Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly.
• Ability to meet or exceed aggressive deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others.
• Professional License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage land survey projects from start to finish, ensuring services meet quality standards and client specifications.
• Plan and implement procedures to maximize operating efficiency.
• Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings, and contracts.
• Sign and seal plats, field notes and control drawings if required.
• Establish work plans and staffing for multiple land survey projects.
• Engage in business development and maintain client relationships.
• Develop and conduct presentations to clients and stakeholders.
• Interface with sub-consultants and other business relationships.
• Provide support to other operational units as needed.
• Manage and report financial status including AR/WIP and billing cycles.
