Job summary

SAM, a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions, seeks a Survey Project Manager to lead land surveying projects from planning through final delivery, coordinating field and office teams, and ensuring client expectations, regulatory requirements, and quality standards are met. You’ll mentor staff, support business development, and maintain strong client relationships while upholding SAM safety and quality practices.

A PLS license is preferred (SIT considered); a B.S.

Qualifications

• PLS license preferred; SIT or licensure pursued considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Surveying/Geomatics or related field.
• Progressive land surveying experience with project coordination responsibilities.
• Proficiency with listed survey software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage clients and teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead land surveying projects from planning through final delivery.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and invoicing.
• Coordinate field and office teams, allocate resources, and oversee multiple projects.
• Provide technical oversight; prepare, review, sign, and seal deliverables when licensed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Act as primary client liaison and foster strong relationships with engineers and contractors.
• Support business development and mentor team members.
