Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a seasoned Survey Project Manager to oversee multiple land survey projects from inception to completion. You will manage budgets, schedules, and staffing while ensuring client requirements are met and quality standards are maintained.

You’ll collaborate with field and office teams, contribute to business development, and mentor staff to achieve SAM’s strategic goals. This role is based in Houston, TX.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of industry related work experience in a professional or management capacity.
• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in project/phase management for large scale projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Micro Station, Geopack and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to define deliverables clearly.
• Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team.
• Professional license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage land survey projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and client specs.
• Plan and implement procedures to maximize operating efficiency.
• Develop and manage proposals, budgets, schedules, billings and contracts.
• Sign and seal plats, field notes and control drawings when required.
• Establish work plans and staffing for multiple projects.
• Engage in business development and maintain client relationships.
• Present to clients and stakeholders; interface with sub-consultants and partners.
• Support other operational units and report financial status (AR/WIP).
