Job summary

Amentum is seeking a qualified software developer for the GEODS contract to design, implement, and sustain data services for access-controlled environments supporting the Federal Government.

You will manage release lifecycles, contribute to code reviews, write tests, and develop documentation while collaborating with cross-functional teams across Linux-based environments and AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical challenges in writing and verbally.
• Experience with AWS platform, SDKs, and CDK.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI to improve development processes or infrastructure.
• Familiarity with GitLab.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full software release lifecycle from preparation to deployment and post-release monitoring.
• Participate in code reviews and sprint planning meetings.
• Attend daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress and blockers.
• Write clean, well-documented code and unit/integration tests.
• Contribute to technical documentation and implement new features per specifications.
• Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements for efficiency.
