Job summary

PAE Government Services Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join a federal program in the United States. You will contribute to architecture, design, and implementation of core data interfaces and services essential to GEODS contracts.

The role requires strong Java or Python coding experience, frontend work with React, and DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD in AWS environments. Must communicate effectively and guide junior staff while collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience coding in Java or Python.
• At least 4 years of frontend development, preferably React JavaScript.
• DevSecOps and CI/CD experience using GitLab or similar Git repository.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform in AWS or other clouds.
• Container and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift).
• Strong AWS experience: EC2, DynamoDB, ECS, SQS/SNS, IAM, Lambda, CDK.
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts in writing and speech.

Responsibilities

• Attend daily standups to report progress and blockers.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Learn, execute and improve the full software release life cycle.
• Write DRY, well-documented, maintainable code.
• Create and maintain unit and integration tests to support regression testing.
• Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Document system architecture, design, usage, and deployment.
• Communicate issues and resolutions to stakeholders clearly.
