Louisville Gas and Electric Company and Kentucky Utilities Company in Louisville, KY is seeking a GIS Specialist to provide technical expertise in geospatial data, models, and applications to support Generation, Environmental Affairs, Telecommunications, and Electric Transmission.

Responsibilities include designing geospatial models, maintaining Esri ArcGIS records, training users, and ensuring regulatory compliance; opportunity to work across IT Telecom and Asset Information teams.

Qualifications

GIS Specialist I requires a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
GIS Specialist II requires a Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of experience.
GIS Specialist Sr. requires a Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of experience.
Position will be filled commensurate to education and experience.

Responsibilities

Act as business and technical expert for geospatial data, applications, and work processes.
Design, build, and implement geospatial models to support operations.
Maintain Esri ArcGIS records for transmission and telecommunications networks.
Provide training and develop training materials for geospatial tools.
Communicate with all levels to ensure issues are understood and addressed.
