• Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 HCPCS codes based on coding guidelines
• Focus primarily on coding for Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care, and Observation services

Required qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (\"GED\") required
• Hospital coding experience required
• Experience in coding at a multi-hospital organization preferred
• One or more coding certifications required upon hire
• Preferred certifications include RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC, or completion of an AHIMA accredited coding certificate program
