Citation Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking an experienced Geologist to support development and optimization of conventional assets in the Permian Basin.

The candidate will partner with reservoir, production, and operations engineers to evaluate field performance and generate actionable mapping results that drive long-term value.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geoscience; advanced degree preferred but not required.
  • Significant experience with conventional oil and gas assets; Permian Basin experience valued.
  • Strong understanding of carbonate reservoirs and conventional field development strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience with enhanced oil recovery programs, emphasis on waterflood; CO2 flood knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead geological evaluations of Permian Basin assets, focusing on mature reservoirs and waterflood recovery projects.
  • Support and optimize EOR programs, including waterflood and CO2 flood operations.
  • Generate and maintain high-quality subsurface maps (structure, isopach, net pay, OOIP).
  • Integrate geological, petrophysical, production, and engineering data to characterize reservoirs.
  • Perform detailed petrophysical interpretation and net pay analysis.
  • Conduct volumetric calculations and reserve assessments to evaluate capital investments.
  • Identify and justify economic capital projects and development opportunities.
  • Collaborate with reservoir and operations engineers to maximize recovery and present findings to asset teams.
