Citation Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking an experienced Geologist to support development and optimization of conventional assets in the Permian Basin.

The role emphasizes reservoir characterization, waterflood/CO2 flood operations, and integrated subsurface evaluations to identify high-value capital projects. The candidate will partner with reservoir, production, and operations engineers to evaluate field performance and generate actionable mapping results that drive long-term value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geoscience; advanced degree preferred but not required.
• Significant experience with conventional oil and gas assets; Permian Basin experience valued.
• Strong understanding of carbonate reservoirs and conventional field development strategies.
• Demonstrated experience with enhanced oil recovery programs, emphasis on waterflood; CO2 flood knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead geological evaluations of Permian Basin assets, focusing on mature reservoirs and waterflood recovery projects.
• Support and optimize EOR programs, including waterflood and CO2 flood operations.
• Generate and maintain high-quality subsurface maps (structure, isopach, net pay, OOIP).
• Integrate geological, petrophysical, production, and engineering data to characterize reservoirs.
• Perform detailed petrophysical interpretation and net pay analysis.
• Conduct volumetric calculations and reserve assessments to evaluate capital investments.
• Identify and justify economic capital projects and development opportunities.
• Collaborate with reservoir and operations engineers to maximize recovery and present findings to asset teams.
