Citation Oil & Gas Corp. is seeking an experienced Geologist to support development of conventional assets in the Permian Basin. The role emphasizes reservoir characterization, waterflood operations, and integrated subsurface evaluations.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with reservoir and production engineers to map formations, assess opportunities, and develop economically viable capital projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geoscience; advanced degree optional.
• Significant experience with conventional oil and gas assets; Permian Basin valued.
• Strong reservoir mapping, petrophysical interpretation, and integrated subsurface analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead geological evaluations of conventional Permian Basin assets focusing on mature reservoirs and waterflood opportunities.
• Support and optimize enhanced oil recovery programs, including waterflood and CO2 flood operations.
• Create high-quality subsurface maps (structure, isopach, net pay, OOIP) and analyze reserves.
• Integrate geological, Petrophysical, production, and engineering data to guide development opportunities.
• Collaborate with reservoir and operations engineers to maximize recovery and economic value.
• Present subsurface evaluations to asset teams and management; support acquisitions/divestitures.
