Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering and 7+ years oil and gas experience.
  • 4+ years in reservoir engineering, with unconventional plays.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.
  • Experience in Permian Basin Delaware/NG basins is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop development plan to maximize Delaware Basin asset value.
  • Provide reservoir engineering support for field/well studies with economic analysis.
  • Analyze spacing and completions to optimize value across acreage.
  • Forecast production and monitor performance for all wells.
  • Support acquisitions, divestitures, and A&D strategy with technical input.
  • Coordinate budget forecasts and update type curves and PDPs.

Job Description:Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Sr. Staff Reservoir Engineer reporting to the Reservoir Engineering Manager in Midland, Texas. This is a high visibility position that will be responsible for providing reservoir engineering support for a variety of projects (as detailed below). The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.General ResponsibilitiesWork with multidisciplinary team to generate and execute a development plan that maximizes the value of PR’s Delaware Basin AssetsProvide reservoir engineering support and guidance on multidisciplinary field/well studies with a specific focus on economic analysis supported by rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, material balance, volumetrics, etc.Analyze lateral and vertical well spacing across all formations to determine optimal spacing within each proposed developmentCollaborate with team to analyze completion and production practices that optimize value across acreage positionAnalyze reservoir fluids and monitor production performance to generate accurate production forecasts for all wellsTechnical analysis of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and trades and integrate with multidisciplinary team to execute on A&D strategyWork with Corporate Planning and Finance teams to maintain long term budget forecast and update type curve, PDP, and expense forecasts regularlyMinimum QualificationsBS in Engineering7+ years of oil and gas engineering experience4+ years of reservoir engineering experienceMust have relevant reservoir engineering experience with unconventional resource plays in the Permian BasinMust be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating and leading multi-disciplinary teamsMust have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationProficiency in ComboCurve, Spotfire and Microsoft OfficePreferred QualificationsSome operations experience (production, completions, drilling, etc.)Working knowledge of Whitson (RTA) and AI platforms such as ClaudeExperience in NM Delaware Basin on an asset team as a reservoir engineerPermian Resource is an equal opportunity employer.
