Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist SME for the Chinook Program, supporting the Intelligence Community with advanced analytics and geo-spatial insights. You will lead ML model development on large geospatial datasets, driving mission-critical outcomes and enabling data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate across software, DevSecOps, and system architecture teams, mentoring juniors and defining technical approaches. This role requires Top Secret/SCI clearance and a strong background in GEOINT.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for the contract.
• Bachelor's in Data Science or related field and 12-15 years of experience or Master’s with 10-13 years of experience.
• 10+ years of professional data science experience.
• 5+ years of experience with GEOINT or geospatial data analysis.
• Proficiency in Python and data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME in data science and geospatial analytics for GEOINT missions.
• Lead design and development of data science models and ML algorithms for multi-source geospatial data.
• Apply GEOINT knowledge to improve data-driven decision making.
• Mentor junior data scientists and collaborate with engineers and analysts on requirements.
