Job summary
RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry practice. The role supports complex projects, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, and fuels growth across North America, with remote or office options.
Travel will be required to support engagements and in-person collaboration as needed. The candidate will lead geochemical characterization, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring
Qualifications
- Advanced degree required (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
- PG/P.Geo registration or ability to obtain.
- Strong technical writing, verbal, and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
- Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste, mine water, and biogeochemical processes.
- Interpret geochemical, environmental, hydrogeological, and biogeochemical data sets.
