Job summary

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. The role is open in the United States and Canada with flexible remote options or office work, and periodic travel for client engagements and site activities.

You will lead geochemical characterization programs, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring staff and collaborating across teams to deliver innovative

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Geochemistry or related field (M.S. or Ph.D.).
• Minimum 5+ years in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Proven ability to manage technical consulting projects.
• Excellent technical writing, verbal, and presentation abilities.
• Professional Geologist registration or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and water.
• Interpret geochemical and hydrogeochemical data sets.
• Conduct predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies.
• Lead design and interpretation of laboratory testing programs.
• Manage projects from initiation through completion with schedule and budget control.
• Develop proposals and support business development initiatives.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical publications.
