Job summary
Illumina is seeking a Systems Support Engineer to join the Systems Engineering and Integration team. You will investigate and resolve system-level platform issues and support verification activities for planned platform changes in a dynamic, lab-based environment.
You will perform hands-on testing of hardware, software, chemistry components; troubleshoot sequencing instrument issues; collaborate with engineering, software, manufacturing; and support pre- and post-launch activities, with
Qualifications
- BS/MS in bioengineering or related engineering field
- 0–2+ years engineering/scientific work experience
- Basic laboratory experience
- Strong data analysis and detail-oriented documentation
Responsibilities
- Test and integrate systems in lab with hardware, software, chemistry components
- Troubleshoot system-level sequencing instrument issues
- Collaborate with Engineering, Software, Manufacturing and other teams
- Support pre- and post-launch product activities
- Carry out testing to gather data and make recommendations
- Support design verification tests and experiments
- Use Confluence, Jira, MS 365 for fleet management and administration tasks
