Job summary

Tempus AI, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer to advance Genomics AI initiatives. You will lead technical analysis, design, and implementation of features across full stack, collaborating with scientists and product managers in a fast-paced, agile environment.

You will craft scalable backend services, integrate GenAI tools, and mentor teammates while delivering high-quality software that supports precision medicine and real-world evidence for clinicians.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development in an agile environment.
• Proficiency with TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and React.
• Experience designing RESTful/GraphQL APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with GenAI tools and coding agents to accelerate delivery.
• Experience with relational databases and cloud CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and delivery of core features.
• Integrate Generative AI tools and autonomous coding agents into workflows.
• Write clean, resilient code with enterprise design patterns.
• Contribute to microservice and database architecture decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with product and other teams.
• Support testing, documentation, and cross-team collaboration.
