Job summary

American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy is seeking a skilled laboratory technologist to perform NGS library preparation (genome, exome, RNA-Seq) and molecular testing with emphasis on accuracy and data interpretation.

You will generate patient reports, perform QC on reagents, and collaborate with leaders to address process deviations while maintaining safety and compliance in a busy genomic medicine setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or equivalent per CFR.
• ASCP certification or eligibility required; certification exam within 3 years of hire; CE annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures with proper documentation.
• Draft patient reports by interpreting assay results and recording processes.
• Perform Quality Control testing on reagents and kits; participate in QA programs.
• Review clinical and research case status with leaders; communicate problems and deviations.
• Maintain a safe environment and assist with safety audits.
