Job summary

Hyundai is seeking a Senior Manager for Genesis Systems Quality Engineering in Fountain Valley, CA. You will lead a team responsible for all vehicle systems and drive corrective actions to improve quality and customer satisfaction.

You will validate complaints, develop countermeasures with Hyundai Motor Company, and oversee Technical Service Bulletins, recalls, and KPI tracking. Strong leadership and automotive expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering or related science.
• Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering or related science preferred.
• Eight or more years of professional experience.
• Five+ years of Automotive Retail and Wholesale experience preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
• Thorough automotive technical knowledge.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical/problem solving ability.
• Strong data management/general and statistical analysis/reporting.
• Organized and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Genesis Systems Quality Engineering team, overseeing all vehicle systems from bumper to bumper.
• Coordinate and integrate Genesis system engineering activities across models to identify emerging concerns and accelerate corrective actions.
• Validate product complaints, perform qualitative analysis, and manage warranty parts recalls and systemic problem reporting.
• Develop countermeasures for field repairs and production in coordination with HMC.
• Distribute Technical Service Bulletins and Recall Campaigns in a timely manner.
• Support high IQS/VDS/CR survey rankings and Total Cost of Quality targets.
• Provide technical training and ensure staff stays current with technology.
• Ensure successful launches of new models and support Launch Quality Monitoring.
