Job summary

Pearce is seeking a highly motivated Generator Technician to service and repair commercial generators on cell phone towers across your region. This role suits independent, self-starters willing to travel and respond to alarms on short notice.

Core duties include maintaining generators, performing diagnostics and repairs, installing components, and testing systems. You will work with electrical and mechanical equipment, adhering to safety practices and OSHA standards, with 24/7 on-call readiness

Qualifications

Two+ years of generator maintenance experience.
Knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair; electronics/mechanical/electrical components.
Basic knowledge of FCC/FAA/EPA/OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintaining generators, diagnosing and repairing problems, installing and replacing components or whole systems, and performing maintenance or upgrades on out-of-season equipment.
Conducting performance checks and regular maintenance on generators to ensure readiness, reading and following blueprints or design specifications.
Install fuel and water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring and controls, and other components, and test for proper operation.
Respond promptly to generator alarms; be on call 24/7 if necessary and respond to phone/email.
Attend safety meetings and follow safety practices during installation and maintenance.
