Home Comfort Experts in Valparaiso, IN is seeking a Generator Technician to service and install residential backup generators. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics, and on-site repairs for customers, often working with a small team and a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Maintenance & repair, troubleshooting and field service skills, specifically with generators.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Experience in generator maintenance and servicing.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. frequently.
• Valid driver’s license.
• This job is with an independent Generac dealer and not for employment with Generac Power Systems, Inc.

Responsibilities

• Service/repair generators, install generators, change air filters, change oil, check battery levels, check spark plugs, etc.
• Perform on-site planned maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting for customers generators (including DC & AC voltage equipment)
• Work independently or with a small team with a work vehicle serving residential and commercial standby generators.
