Adams, Inc. is hiring a Generator Service Technician to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on standby generator systems for residential and light commercial customers.

This field-based role covers Northeast Wisconsin with a company vehicle and opportunities for certification through Generac, Kohler, and Briggs & Stratton. Ideal candidates have at least 2+ years of engine or mechanical equipment experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• 2+ years experience with combustion engines, motors, or mechanical equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfort using an iPad and mobile applications.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance and service on standby generator systems.
• Complete oil changes, filter replacements, battery inspections, and performance testing.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, fuel, ignition, and engine issues.
• Repair and replace defective components.
• Utilize manufacturer tools and service information to identify problems.
• Complete electronic service documentation and customer notes using an iPad.
• Manage multiple service appointments daily and complete 5+ calls per day.
