Best Home Generators is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to install, maintain, and repair generators, ensuring reliable power for customers. The role requires strong technical troubleshooting and a solid safety mindset.

You will perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, replace defective parts, and verify repairs. Work independently or with a team and participate in on-call rotations. Independence, attention to detail, and customer communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and ability to read technical schematics.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varied environments.
• Valid driver's license; LP license beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine generator maintenance and system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and failures.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test repairs to verify proper operation and safety.
• Maintain service records and participate in on-call rotations.
• Communicate status of work orders with internal staff.

We are seeking a skilled Generator Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of generators to ensure reliable power supply for our clients. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

What you'll do:

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.


• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures


• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.


• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.


• Conduct regular inspections of generators and associated systems to identify potential issues or safety hazards.


• Offer recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.


• Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.


• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs


• Communicate with inside staff regarding the status of work orders.

What you'll bring:

• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment and the ability to read technical schematics.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tools, up to 75+ lbs.


• Capable of working in various environmental conditions.


• Valid Driver's License.


• An active LP License would be beneficial; but not required.
