Job summary

Generac Channel Partner is seeking an experienced service technician to perform routine maintenance and repairs on generator systems, including power generation and transfer switches. You will travel within your territory using a company vehicle, ensuring timely service and clear communication with customers and dispatchers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a mechanical environment, strong knowledge of engines and electrical systems, and proven leadership with documentation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a mechanical environment.
• Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines and electrical systems.
• Proven leadership experience with training and guidance.
• Ability to read technical documents and service manuals for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on power generation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator and system failures and warranty issues.
• Prepare compliance, operational, and safety documentation.
• Communicate job progress, parts availability, and cost estimates to customers and dispatchers.
• Travel with company vehicle for service calls within territory.

What you’ll bring:

• 3+ years of experience within a mechanical environment.
