Generac Power Systems, Inc. is seeking a skilled Generator Technician to install, maintain, and repair generators to ensure reliable power for our clients in Irwin, PA.

The role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You will perform routine generator maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions, replace defective parts, test repairs, and keep detailed service records.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read technical schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment up to 50+ lbs.
• Capable of working in various environmental conditions.
• Valid Driver's License.
• 2+ years working with generators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on generators, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot generator malfunctions and failures.
• Replace or repair defective parts and components as needed.
• Test and verify repairs to ensure proper operation.
• Conduct regular inspections of generators and associated systems to identify issues or safety hazards.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports and recommendations.
• Offer recommendations for upgrades or replacements as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of all service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and parts used.
• Complete and submit service reports in a timely manner.
• Participate in on-call rotations for emergency repairs.
• Communicate with inside staff regarding the status of work orders.
