Job summary

We are seeking a Technical Service Trainer to join Generac Power Systems Inc. onsite at our service training centre in Houston, TX.

You will deliver comprehensive training to technicians on all aspects of generator repair and installation, and guide start-up, operation, and troubleshooting across Generac products. Essential duties include developing curricula, writing technical documentation, and collaborating across departments to fabricate training units.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
3 years field technician experience in HVAC, automotive, generator or similar, or 3 years combined field technician and training experience.
Preferred: Associates or Bachelor’s degree; curriculum development experience; ASE certification; SAP experience.

Responsibilities

Instruct technicians in generator repair and installation.
Develop and present technical training curriculum.
Write and review owner, installation, diagnostic and flat rate manuals and service and training bulletins.
Establish warranty flat rates for new product prototypes.
Work with internal departments to fabricate training units.
DOT driver (Non CDL) and other duties as assigned.
