Job summary

Central Power Systems & Services in Platte City, MO is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, develop, test, and manufacture custom power generation equipment. You will collaborate with production teams to translate concepts into manufacturable solutions.

The ideal candidate has hands-on manufacturing experience, strong fundamentals in mechanical design, and the ability to move projects from concept through production while ensuring quality and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of mechanical design for industrial equipment.
• ABET preferred or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and improve mechanical systems and assemblies for power generation equipment.
• Create detailed drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Lead prototyping, testing, and manufacturing ramp-up.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Perform engineering calculations to validate performance and safety.
• Support design changes and new product introductions.
