Central Power Systems & Services in Kansas City area is seeking an Electrical Applications Engineer to own electrical design from concept through manufacturing, testing, and field support. You will develop generator systems, power equipment, and controls, collaborating with manufacturing and service teams to deliver reliable solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, problem solving on the shop floor, and direct involvement with customers and projects in a growing power generation

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution and control systems.
• Experience with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for generator sets and related power equipment.
• Create schematics, wiring diagrams, control drawings and documentation.
• Perform load calculations, fault analysis, and system studies.
• Support manufacturing, testing, commissioning, and field service.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design manufacturability.
